Save Lives
In Northern Iraq, a happy Kurdish man greets families bringing their sick and dying children to him with the hope that he will be able to save them. While he can’t, he knows that HOPE is just across the border in Jordan and Israel with an organization called Shevet Achim, or Brothers Together. They offer life saving heart surgeries to children who could not recieve them otherwise and they have been quietly saving lives for years.
My husband and I were involved in this project when we lived in Northern Iraq. The director of the project was for many years our team translator. He is one of the few Kurdish believers in our Iraqi city, and we believe that it’s because of his faith in Jesus that he has this compassion for the children of Iraq and the courage to work with Israel (simply not done in the middle east).
We have promised Goran and his wife to help spread the news of the work of Brothers Together, and to help raise funds for the project however we can.
So go now to www.brotherstogetheriraq.blogspot.com and read more about how youc and help. And you can see the actual children who are awaiting surgery at www.shevet.org.
Change hearts and save lives today.
